about Chubby's BBQ

When did we become famous you ask? Basically since day one…December 2002 Chubby’s Barbeque opened! Owner Tom Caulfield prides himself on creating great BBQ; and only serving the best of the best. Not to list our entire menue but we have everything: Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Ribs (both pork & beef), Chicken, Burgers, Chubby Potatoes, Corn Bread, Collard Greens, Mac & Cheese, Mash Taters, Fries (try the garlic ones), Chili, Baked Beans, and so much more. Oh and for those of you…you know who you are…we do serve salads and various fish dishes.

Even other people outside of our small town have found out about us. Actor Bill Murray stopped by with his son and left a 50 dollar tab on a 20 dollar check (even featured the story in the Washington Post and OK! Magazine). Redskins players Chris Samuels and Randy Thomas have stopped by for a food challenge, along with NBC4, FOX5, ESPN Jim Rome to film Mr. Thomas ( #77). Who likes to be published in books? We do! Featured in TWO, yes TWO ROADFOOD books, and a Willams Sonoma best seller “Killer Ribs” listed as top 50 rib joints in the United States. And lastly one of our favorites was being featured on Regis and Kelly for their Hometown Restaurant Cook-Off. We came in second place, but deep down we know we really won! As the years go by we are continuing to grow and maybe someday expand (because we know that everyone needs a bit of “Chubby’s” )
